Internet speed test on broadband(ADSL) connection. ¿Why do I get different results on different sites?
I have tried out these sites 1.http://www.internautas.org/testvelocidad 2. http://www.internetfrog.com/mypc/speedtest I even disabled my Notron firewall + shut all other programes to get the correct speed BUT it differs a lot 1.09Mbps & 3.25Mbps (3254kbps) as download speed ¿¿ not bad EH? Is there any better site to check the Internet Speed

- Personally, these are just rubbish websites!
- to be honest, your unlikely to get the same speed anywhere, different websites use different ways to test and internet speed does bounce up and down all the time by a little bit so your likely to get that. the way i used to quickly but more accurately test speed when working as a techie was to do three different speed tests (you'll have to look them up, search internet speed test on google) n just take an average.
- because the servers used to test your speed are on diffrent locaitons.
- Speed shown in the sites depend upon the load that site is carrying at the time ur testing ur internet speed and also on the load on the route through which data flow happens from website to ur pc.As both of them are not same anytime so u get different speeds every time.best way is to start 4-5 ( may be more if ur internet connections allow u to) downloads simultaneously.add there speed and multiply it with 8.that would be ur actual speed on kbps.
