What broadband speed is required to play games online on the playstation 3?

I live in Ireland and hope to buy a Playstation 3 in the near future. I intend to play games online but I am not sure if my braodband connection is fast enough. I think my broadband speed is 2mb.

1. I have a slow DSL connection at 700KBS and it works great for the ps3, a 2MBS is perfect for online gaming.
2. 2mb is pretty slow. I live in the U.S. and my Broadband speed is 12-14 mb. I've never had a problem with that speed. Do a spped test opn your CPU or PS3. Google search "internet speed test" and you'll be able to find out your actual speed.
3. I used to play on Xbox Live on a 512k connection, so 2meg should do you fine.
4. Where your provider says it's 2mb they usually mean upto 2mb speed but i think you should be fine playing it on any broadband connection my isp is upto 8mb but the actual speed is 5.6mb and i only live 100 yards from the exchange
