What is the most reliable cable high speed internet service?

I would like to continue to work from home, but my internet service is unreliable and is making the job impossible. I have Cox and it goes down often. sometimes the modem is working but he pages wont come up. Today the service was just down for the day. I missed an important email from my attorney. Which high speed cable internet service do you recommend?

2. Well for CABLE you're limited to the company that provides cable to your home, in your case, Cox. Otherwise, for high-speed, check out DSL next, by going to your phone company's website. Regarding satellite Internet, I hated it. The 3/4 second delay made it fail with the VPN I needed to use. Also, it had trouble in heavy rain, and didn't work in snow. Another option, if you've got cell phone reception where you live, is cell broadband. I've got Verizon's and I'm happy with it, but it's only avaiable (at high speed) in some locations.
3. Hi, I used Verizon and Comcast in the past. Comcast is powered by Cable and so far maximum speed I received was 18 MBPS. But recently they put about 400 GB Bandwidth cap. Bandwidth cap is the file size amount you can download and upload per month. Verizon is okay. They are DSL line so pretty slow. Mine was 1 MBPS. But if you get Verizon FIOS, that could make a huge difference. So far verizon didn't inform anything about bandwidth cap.
