Internet Cable Speed

Is cable internet with a speed of 7.0 mbps for 41 bucks a month a good deal?

Okay, so I want to get a 7.0 mbps connection but I'm wondering if its a rip-off or not. It's 29.95 for the first 6 months, then 41 bucks afterwards. Installation is free and so is the modem. It's from Earthlink High Speed Internet. Is this a good deal?

1. Yes, I pay more than that for a 1.5mbps dls line. Something to remember with cable internet is that it isn't dedicated, so if you live in a busy area and have a lot of neighbors on cable internet, they share that connection with you. None the less, that is a good deal.
2. The deal is good, however I'm wondering how long Earthlink will be in business for.
