Internet Cable Speed

What is a good cable internet speed to have skype?

I am going to sound stupid because I dont know anything about internet speeds, but I think I have 6 megs or mz (or whatever its called) cable. Is that a good speed for skyping?

1. G.711 uses 80kbit per call. I'm pretty sure skype uses G.729, which uses 24 kbit/call. You're fine.
